Is personal pride worth the risk of one of your star players getting hurt when the game is out of hand?

It was the players choice to stay in. Bentley promised the boys that are seniors now he would not coach at another school until they graduated. He then took all of his JIB coaching equip he had kept after he left JIB and let Kelly's players burn it in a bonfire before the game. Those boys wanted to show Bentley that he could not get to them and that he could not use other boys to bring them down.

The players dont have any say when they come in or come out thats the coachs job. He left big deal. Coaches switch teams all the time. You dont risk an injury like that. Its not worth it

There was zero doubt entering this game that the Raiders are the cream of the crop on this end of the state. You do not get to 3 straight state finals by accident. Burton did the same thing to my Indians that they are going to do to alot of folks, so I'm not shedding any tears. There are alot of 0-3 teams out there who wouldn't mind being 2-1. One game does not a season make. Time to get ready for a visit from the Blue Knights. I have said it before, and i'll say it again: I am pulling for the Raiders to win the state title. I wish them nothing but the best. Sometimes you just run into the buzzsaw. Our kids played clean and never quit. I am proud of them.

I see Burton's O-line as the only thing being suspect, they are undersized and this will give them trouble against a team like PV that does also have decent speed off the corners to contain Burton's speed and turn it back into their very disciplined interior D.
Stewart didn't look like a 3 year starter, he was putting balls all over the place on passes, had to have been having an off night.
